Staff representation

The elected staff representatives at Fachhochschule Dortmund perform the tasks assigned to them by the State Staff Representation Act, the Severely Disabled Persons Act and other laws.

Staff councils

The staff councils at Fachhochschule Dortmund represent the interests of employees. The basic task of the staff councils is to monitor the equal treatment of employees and applicants. In addition to numerous other activities, they monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations and collective agreements and negotiate service agreements.

Fachhochschule Dortmund has a staff council for academic and artistic employees and a staff council for technical and administrative employees. Employees under the age of 18 as well as trainees and trainee civil servants have their own youth and trainee representatives.

Representative body for severely disabled persons

The Representative Body for Severely Disabled Employees (SBV) supports employees in protecting their rights and providing workplaces that meet their needs. It is committed to improving conditions for people with (severe) disabilities throughout the university, particularly in the area of accessibility. The SBV supports applicants with (severe) disabilities or equal opportunities and ensures that they are treated equally.
