Fachhochschule Dortmund - University of Applied Sciences and Arts is committed to ensure accessibility to its website and digital publications in accordance with the EU Directive 2016/2102.

The self-assessment is carried out by the Department of University IT, Content Management. The test steps of the BITV test are used for the evaluation. A list of the test steps can be found at bitvtest.de(Opens in a new tab) .

The website and its content are also regularly checked for accessibility and improved by the "Accessibility in Technology and Administration" office, located in the University IT Department, Content Management Division. The Siteimprove monitoring system is also used for this purpose. Siteimprove enables automated monitoring and control of accessibility on the fh-dortmund.de website.

The review by Siteimprove takes place every 5 days.

Non-accessible content

The following content embedded on the website of Fachhochschule Dortmund does not fully meet the current accessibility standards:

  • PDF documents: Due to the large quantity, not all of the PDF files available could be converted into an accessible format to date. We will update them gradually.
  • Videos: As of now, we are not able to offer audio description for all videos available on our website. We are still working on that.
