In view of the increasing social polarization in Germany and in Europe, the organizations for the financial support of gifted and talented students see it as one of their central responsibilities to counteract this development with their current and former scholarship holders as well as with their international networks and to jointly work towards respectful relations based on a common set of values.
While working on the project, the staff of the initiative StipendienKultur Ruhr and Fachhochschule Dortmund also work together to promote respectful relations, stand up against nationalistic thought patterns, populist simplifications, hostility towards science, relativization of the crimes of National Socialism, anti-Semitism, hostility to Islam, racism and any other kind of discrimination based on religion or worldview, ethnic origin, gender, disability, age or sexual identity.
