Dortmund International Summer School

The Dortmund IRC will be followed by the Dortmund International Summer School and the PhD Summer School (4th – 8th July 2022), which will be organised in Dortmund by the EuroPIM Consortium, which has now been active for over 6 years, in cooperation with FH Dortmund and other international partners. The EuroPIM Consortium promotes cooperation in the Master's field with universities in Europe.

Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts invites students to work on research topics in the following streams: “Automotive Systems”, “Sustainability and Quality in Project Management”, “Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)”, “Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality”, “Software Engineering Project”, “Advanced Perspectives on Data Science”, and to exchange their results.

This year's PhD Summer School is aimed at PhD and Master students from the fields of project management, digital transformation and engineering. During the 5-day PhD Summer School, PhD and Master students will work closely on a common research topic. This collaboration follows the principles of "vertical integration", which means that PhD students will learn how to supervise and collaborate with master students and how to integrate the results of project and master theses into PhD research with respect to the principles of research ethics. In turn, master's students learn from PhD students how to develop research questions for their dissertations, write scientific papers, and submit research proposals.
