Visa for study purposes
To apply for a student visa, please contact the German diplomatic mission(Opens in a new tab) or consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in your home country to find out which documents are required. In any case, you must be able to submit:
- The letter from uni-assist confirming your eligibility for higher education or
- the admission letter from Fachhochschule Dortmund, or
- a confirmation of applicant status from Fachhochschule Dortmund, if an admission letter specifying a long-term enrollment period cannot be provided; issuance of a confirmation of applicant status requires that uni-assist has already electronically forwarded your application to Fachhochschule Dortmund,
- proof of sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of studying in Germany.
