What is it about?

Ensuring a stable energy supply will be one of the major challenges in the coming years, with electrical energy being particularly important. The liberalization of the market has led to the dissolution of traditionally demarcated supply areas and enabled many new, independent players to enter the energy market. This upheaval has resulted in a changed competitive landscape. Against this backdrop, data management is becoming an increasingly important new challenge alongside technical aspects and economic considerations. The focus is shifting towards decentralization of the energy supply and increased market liberalization. As digitalization progresses, the relevance of information technologies and efficient data management is also increasing in order to meet the new requirements of the energy sector.
