About the person

Research

Bilateral industrial research with various regional industrial partners and companies in Switzerland and abroad. Current research and development topics:

  • Production of rotationally symmetrical steel-plastic composites using additive and machining manufacturing processes
  • Light metal casting by means of additively manufactured, lost models
  • Process design for the complete machining of high-strength adapter rings made of fiber-reinforced plastics
  • Investigation of the influence of cooling lubricant on the process and bore characteristics during thread forming of aluminum alloys
  • Process development and prototype production of face-coupling gears on CNC machining center
  • Tool and parameter study for smooth and deep rolling of stainless steels
  • Experimental analysis of the wear behavior of solid carbide reamers
  • Experimental investigation of the influence of cooling lubricant on tool wear and chip formation during thread turning
