ET 01: Mathematics 1

The exercises in Analysis 1 and Linear Algebra 1 supplement the lecture "Mathematics 1".
In the exercises, students work on the exercises independently. The students present their results on the blackboard. This gives them the opportunity to practise speaking freely in front of a group and to pass on their knowledge to their fellow students.
ET 02: Mathematics 2

- Linear Algebra 2
The exercises in Analysis 2 and Linear Algebra 2 complement the "Mathematics 2" lecture. In the exercises, students work through the problems independently. Students present their results on the board. This gives them the opportunity to practice speaking freely in front of a group and to share their knowledge with their fellow students.
The Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2 modules have the following learning and qualification objectives:
- Teaching basic arithmetic operations and their application
- Funding for analytical thinking and development of the ability to think abstractly
- Funding for logical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate
- Funding for verbal and critical thinking skills
- Problem-solving skills and creativity
- Independence and self-directed learning
Through the assigned tasks, students practice the following fundamental competencies relevant to all disciplines:
- Comparing, organizing, classifying (sorting), abstracting, generalizing, concretizing (specializing), formalizing, drawing analogies, and justifying
ET 19: Basic practical course in programming
The practical course deepens the contents of the lecture "Fundamentals of Programming (ET 07-2).
The aim is to deepen basic knowledge of programming in a widely used high-level language.
This includes the ability to convert the solution to a specific task into an algorithmic form, to code it and to find strategies for eliminating errors, as well as to document the finished product.
Particular emphasis is placed on clean, structured programming. The use of object-oriented representation is preferred where appropriate.
