Elimination of some corona-related restrictions on library use

Published

From Monday, April 4, 2022, some of the previously valid corona-related restrictions on the use of the library will no longer apply. The new regulations at a glance:

  • The obligation to wear a medical mask in all areas of the library will remain in place until further notice. This also applies during your stay at the individual and group workstations.
  • In addition, we ask library users to continue to maintain a minimum distance from other people.
  • The presentation of the 3G proof or semester pass at the circulation desk is no longer necessary.
  • All available individual workstations will be released again. These can now be used again without prior booking.
  • The group study rooms at Emil-Figge-Str. 44 are also available again. However, these must be booked in advance (as was the case before the pandemic). This is done via an online booking tool, all information can be found on a separate page . We recommend that groups ventilate the rooms regularly.
  • Opening hours remain shortened for the time being, details can be found on our"Locations & opening hours " page.
  • Individual counseling will continue to take place online until further notice. Appointments can be booked as usual.
  • Training courses can take place in person again under certain conditions. Interested teachers should contact the library team directly for individual arrangements.
  • The borrowing of media should continue to take place preferably via the self-checkout devices. At the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 location, the return machine in the foyer is available for returning items (also outside opening hours).
