Fachhochschule Dortmund becomes a participant in the state program "Reconciling work and care in North Rhine-Westphalia". Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel has signed a corresponding charter.

In order to further strengthen the commitment to care responsibilities, several measures are planned at Fachhochschule Dortmund in connection with the state program. These include, for example, qualifying advisory "care guides", individually reviewing working time models, using a company digital "care kit" with up-to-date information material and exchanging best practice solutions at networking events.

"By participating in the state program, the university of applied sciences can raise awareness of the topic of care and make it even more visible," says Sonja Wentzel, care advisor at the FH Family Service. In addition to teaching staff and employees, the service also supports students who are looking after relatives in need of care.
