Insights into the Faculty of Information Technology at Fachhochschule Dortmund

The Faculty of Information Technology is the youngest faculty at the University of Applied Sciences. The objective of the engineering-oriented faculty is to provide students with qualified training for the technical challenges of our society. The specialist nature of the study programs is geared towards the future areas of responsibility of graduates.

The current range of courses includes

These study programs are characterized in particular by courses with embedded practical relevance in the form of project-oriented coursework. All students are involved in practical projects right from the start of their studies and are thus introduced to complex technical topics in a clear and understandable way under the guidance of scientific laboratory staff.

The faculty's research profile is characterized by the two research focuses"Biomedical Engineering " and"Communication Technology ".
