Our approach
In the Innovative Teaching department, we are committed to researching and testing new approaches to teaching. Social, cultural and technological developments constantly present teachers at Fachhochschule Dortmund with new challenges and at the same time offer new opportunities. This is where we come in: We support lecturers in meeting the changing demands while incorporating the latest developments in (teaching) research.
We see new media technologies as an additional opportunity for lecturers at Fachhochschule Dortmund to make student learning paths even more individual. We therefore promote the creation, use and publication of digital and freely available teaching materials (Open Educational Resources, OER) in interdisciplinary teaching and learning settings, which requires the continuous development of critical digital and media skills among teaching staff.
