Registration

You have to register before submitting your application. Please click on “Jetzt registrieren!” (register now) and enter your details on the following page. If you are applying for a Bachelor’s program with restricted admission, please enter your BID and BAN. The system will then save your entries.
Complete the registration process by clicking on the “Registrieren“ (register) button at the bottom of the page.
Please note if:
You are a non-EU national and acquired your Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) outside of Germany (university qualification exam certificates (Feststellungsprüfungszeugnisse) are only valid in conjunction with the certificate acquired in your home country and therefore do not count as a German university entrance qualification). You are not married to an EU national, please apply directly via uni-assist (this regulation is only imnportant to Bachelor’s study programs).
You want to study, but do not have a university (of applied sciences) entrance qualification ((Fach-) Abitur). Please click HERE(Opens in a new tab) .
Account verification
After submitting all of your data, you have to verify your account and unlock it.
You have two options how to do so:

Verification via e-mail - After submitting your data, you will receive an e-mail with a user ID.
Click on the link in the e-mail to automatically activate your account.

Manual entry - If the link in the e-mail does not work, you can enter the code from the e-mail manually. In the portal, please select the tab Bewerbung (application) and the menu item “E-Mail-Verifikation” (e-mail verification), enter the code and click the “OK” button.
Login and start of the application process
Now you can log in to the portal (either at the top right of the page or centrally on the page when logging in for the first time) with your user ID (from the e-mail you received) and the password you chose during registration
You can only apply for a certain semester. The semester is already entered and cannot be changed. Click on “Bewerbung starten” (start the application process). Now click on "Bewerbungsantrag hinzufügen” (add your application). Please complete your data on the following pages.
Submitting your online application
If you have entered your data completely, you will be forwarded to an overview page.
Here you will be asked to double check the entered data.
To submit your application, please scroll to the end of this page.
Here you can confirm the accuracy of your information and then click on "Antrag abgeben” (submit application).

Edit your application details BEFORE submitting the application
You can edit the data you entered at various stages during your application, but no later than 15 January (when applying for a summer semester) /15 July (when applying for a winter semester).
If you realize that the data is incomplete or incorrect, already on the overview page BEFORE SUBMITTING the application, please click “Zurück” (back) at the bottom of the page. Then you click on “Antrag bearbeiten” (edit your application). You will be forwarded to the first entry page.
After editing the data, please click to until you reach the end of the application.
Edit your application details AFTER submitting the application
If you have to edit your application AFTER SUBMITTING it, there are two options.
If you need to change your personal details (e.g., address), you do so in the right column on your overview page by clicking “Anschrift bearbeiten” (change address), “Telefonnumer bearbeiten” (change phone number) or "Mobiltelefonnummer bearbeiten" (change cell phone number).
If you want to change anything else, you must withdraw the application.
You can withdraw the application by clicking "Antrag zurückziehen und bearbeiten" (withdraw and edit application) on the top part of your overview page.
If you withdraw your application, you can edit the respective data and submit the application again, if necessary.
Please note: You can make edits of any kind only until 15 January
(if you are applying for the summer semester) / until 15 July
(if you are applying for the winter semester).
If you withdraw an application after this cutoff date, it will not be considered in the allocation process.
You will not be able to change your details, regardless of the date, after you receive an admission offer (e.g., for a study program with open admission).
Add another study program
You can apply for several study programs at Fachhochschule Dortmund - University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
If you would like to add another study program to an existing application, please click "Bewerbungsantrag hinzufügen” (add an application) on the overview page.
Remove a particular study program
If your program preferences change during the application period, you can remove individual programs from your application.
To do so, click "Antrag zurückziehen” (withdraw application) under the respective study program on your overview page.
