A strong university needs strong partners
More than 250 professors work together with students at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts to implement interdisciplinary research projects(Opens in a new tab) on specific social and Business Studies issues. Cross-cutting topics such as digitalization and sustainability form an essential basis. Through this transfer of knowledge, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts is an active network and cooperation partner for solving key future issues and structural change in our region.
Fachhochschule Dortmund is supported in this by numerous companies, foundations, institutions and private individuals who are involved with the university in a variety of ways. This cooperation benefits the university and its partners and radiates into the region.
At the same time, our sponsors benefit from their social commitment through positive image transfer, access to networks and know-how, the early establishment of contacts with potential employees and presentation as an attractive employer.
The University Sponsorship department manages and maintains these partnerships. The connection to our sponsors is very important to us and is intensified at many Fachhochschule Dortmund events. Anniversary dUrFH
Fachhochschule Dortmund celebrated its 50th birthday from August 2021 to July 2022. This special anniversary was extensively honored with a variety of events, measures and celebrations. As part of the "Jubilee WürFHel" campaign, large-format wooden seating WürFHel were set up at various locations in the city. The WürFHel were created with the help of students from the Faculty of Architecture. They made the university highly visible during the anniversary year and can still be used by the public afterwards. The campaign was realized together with the long-standing partners Wilo Foundation, Sparkasse Dortmund, the City of Dortmund/ Green Space Office and the Rudolf Chaudoire Foundation, which supported the project financially and by arranging locations.
Tree donation campaign "50 years - 50 trees"
To mark its 50th anniversary, Fachhochschule Dortmund donated 50 trees to the city of Dortmund. They were planted in the schoolyards of several Dortmund schools and in Fredenbaumpark together with the City of Dortmund's Parks and Gardens Department. Fachhochschule Dortmund was supported by its long-standing partners Wilo-Foundation and Sparkasse Dortmund. The varieties range from English oak and copper beech to small-leaved lime and so-called "future trees" such as field maple and purple alder.
