Information
On 17.06.2026 we will show the film "Extrawurst" as part of the project"Science meets Fiction - Film & Reflection(Opens in a new tab) " by Prof.in Dr.in Emra Ilgün-Birhimeoğlu(Opens in a new tab) and Prof. Dr. Dierk Borstel(Opens in a new tab) at the Schauburg Dortmund.
The film will then be used as a social science case study: Together with Prof.in Dr.in Nicolle Pfaff(Opens in a new tab) (University of Duisburg-Essen), we will analyze central scenes and conflicts along theoretical perspectives on power relations, belonging, orders of normality and exclusion. The aim is not only to lecture on theory, but to apply it to film - as an instrument to make social mechanisms visible and to classify them for discrimination-sensitive action.
The project takes place in cooperation with Sunrise Dortmund(Opens in a new tab) , a youth education and advice center in Dortmund for all young LGBPATINQ+ people up to the age of 23, their relatives and pedagogical staff.
