On October 9 and 10, 2026, Fachhochschule Dortmund will be exhibiting at Einstieg Dortmund, the largest trade fair for training and studying in the Ruhr region. Prospective students can find out all about the courses on offer on both days of the fair at Messe Dortmund at Rheinlanddamm 200. The fair opens its doors on Friday from 9 am to 2 pm and on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
Fachhochschule Dortmund will be represented with a wide range of study options: The Faculties of Architecture, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Social Studies and Information Technology will be available for individual discussions. Central Student Advisory Services (ZSB) and Training Management will also be on hand to provide information on all aspects of starting a degree course and career prospects. Pupils can talk directly to student advisors at the exhibition stand and find out first-hand about course content, admission requirements and everyday life at university.
Orientation for the time after leaving school
Einstieg Dortmund is primarily aimed at high school graduates, senior high school students and committed secondary school students. For two days, numerous universities, companies and institutions present their training, study and gap year offers. In addition to information stands, the fair also offers presentations on the Einstieg stage, where visitors can find out about various career paths and educational opportunities. Entry to the fair is free of charge.

How to get there
The subway line U 45 (direction Westfalenhallen) takes you comfortably from Dortmund main station to the stop "Westfalenhallen" in 10 minutes.
From Dortmund city center (U-Bahn stations Reinoldikirche or Stadtgarten), the U 46 (direction Westfalenhallen) also takes about 5 minutes to the "Westfalenhallen" stop.
Alternative: Line U 42 (direction Hombruch) to the stop "Theodor-Fliedner-Heim". From here it is only a few minutes' walk to the exhibition grounds.
