Fischer, U., & Loer, T. (2025). Reconstructing patterns of interpretation and habitus. Wiesbaden: Springer VS.
Content
The book provides a detailed introduction to the objective-hermeneutic reconstruction of the central objects of interpretation patterns and habitus and the corresponding terminology. The constitutional theory and methodology of objective hermeneutics are presented in a well-founded and comprehensible manner. In view of the crisis caused by the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic and the measures taken against it, patterns of interpretation and habitus are examined. To this end, the problems of interpretation and action associated with the pandemic are identified and then the data material - written statements by and research interviews with opponents of the measures - is subjected to an objective hermeneutic analysis. The analysis introduces the reconstruction of patterns of interpretation and habitus and works out the two terms in such a way that previous theoretical ambiguities are overcome. The specific interpretation pattern of the opponents of the measures is identified as libertarian self-centeredness. - A list of published objective-hermeneutic works on patterns of interpretation and habitus as well as a glossary complete the presentation.
