Forum 4 of the 2024 Annual Conference of AQ Austria with Prof. Dr. Pamela C. Scorzin on the topic “Integrity in Artistic Study, Teaching, and Research: Challenges for Art Colleges and Universities”

With the 2024 Higher Education Legislation Package (Austria), integrity in academic as well as artistic study, teaching, and research was adopted as a central quality criterion for the Austrian higher education sector and enshrined in the Higher Education Quality Assurance Act (HS-QSG) for all types of higher education institutions. This is intended to encompass not only adherence to good scientific or artistic practice but also a culture of scientific or artistic integrity and quality. More detailed regulations on integrity in academic and artistic study, teaching, and research must now also be included in the bylaws of colleges and universities.

This forum focuses on artistic study, teaching, and research activities. We will discuss the specific issues and challenges that arise in the context of integrity for art colleges and universities.
