The longing for a place of perfection and harmony is deeply rooted within us. In our digitized and urbanized world, where people spend more time in front of screens than in nature, this Eden seems farther away than ever. But can we rediscover this place with the help of modern technology? Lennart Gruensel, a master’s graduate in “Photographic Studies” from Fachhochschule Dortmund, embarks on a journey to this long-lost paradise in his master’s thesis, “/Imagine Eden.” Amid concrete jungles and digital landscapes, he explores the relationship between humans, nature, and technology together with his companion Argos, an advanced artificial intelligence. Their journey gives rise to visionary images that invite reflection.
