In February 2023, a series of rehearsals by the Düsseldorf Theaster der Klaenge for the new version of three Bauhaus ballets were filmed:
"The Mechanical Ballet", "TRIAS - The Triadic Ballet" and "The Lacquer Ballet". In a montage of historical materials, interviews, rehearsal sequences in the rehearsal studio of the Düsseldorf THEATER DER KLÄNGE and performance recordings of these three ballets, it becomes clear what the originals of the 1920s to 1940s were and meant, how and why an appropriation by the THEATER DER KLÄNGE has taken place since the 1980s and to what extent these approaches have been continued in a contemporary way.
