About the project

Against the background of the internationalization strategy and the university development planning 2025-2030 of the Fachhochschule Dortmund, the StartING Future project is aimed specifically at international PASCH students and graduates from Eastern and South Eastern Europe who are aiming to study engineering in German. The aim is to systematically attract this particularly suitable and motivated target group to study at Fachhochschule Dortmund, to guide them through their studies through an extra-curricular program tailored to their needs and to facilitate their transition into the German job market. StartING Future thus contributes to securing skilled workers in Germany and at the same time strengthens the international profile of the university.

Based in the International Office, the StartING Future project is closely linked to the International Career Service and offers the opportunity to establish a comprehensive cooperation network with PASCH schools in Eastern and South Eastern Europe and, in the future, in other regions. In addition, an external university network with regional companies and multipliers will be developed.

In the long term, it is planned to transfer the structures established in the project into the university's regular counseling, marketing and networking services in order to ensure the sustainable recruitment and integration of international students from the PASCH network in the long term.
