About the project

Against the background of the internationalization strategy adopted by Fachhochschule Dortmund in 2022, the International Career Service is aimed at prospective international students who wish to study in German, as well as enrolled international students - especially in Bachelor's degree programmes - and international graduates.

The aim is to increase the proportion of degree-seeking students at the university and to provide them with a tailor-made offer to prepare them for their studies and the job market. In this way, the International Career Service makes an important contribution to securing skilled workers in Germany and especially in Dortmund.

Located in the International Office, the International Career Service works closely with the Central Student Advisory Services (ZSB), the Career Service and the university's faculties. It is also building a network outside the university with subject-related partners and representatives of regional Business Studies.

The long-term plan is to consolidate the project with the help of internal university funding.
