Evaluation of the model project "Breakfast for primary school children"

The evaluation questions primarily cover the organizational, motivational and professional implementation of the pilot project by the various school and school social work stakeholders. For example, the following questions are addressed:

• Which organizational models produce positive developments for pupils and other stakeholders under which conditions?
• How do the educational staff, parents and children accept the model project?
• What motives do parents or other volunteers have to participate in such a project?
• How can breakfast be offered to a selected group of pupils at a school without experiences of exclusion or discrimination?

In order to take into account the specific characteristics of the schools in the various action areas of the city of Dortmund, the empirical analysis is preceded by comprehensive desk research. For the empirical analysis, guided interviews with school principals, surveys of pupils, parents and volunteers are planned.

The project's scientific team is led by Prof. Dr. Viola Hartung-Beck. She is supported by a research assistant: Jessica Klinowski, a Master's student on the Social Sustainability and Demographic Change study program, and a student assistant.
