Automotive Vision

Fast facts

About the project

Project type Industrial project/contract research
Duration 2 years (2013-2015)

The "Automotive Vision" project is concerned with the development of sensor and control algorithms for the pioneering field of driver assistance systems. In cooperation with the Institute for Control Engineering (IfR) at the TU Braunschweig, the focus is on applications for autonomous vehicle guidance of a passenger car. One application is the development and implementation of an embedded system that uses camera sensors to record the lane geometry and the position of the vehicle in the lane in order to realize control of the vehicle in the lane. Further work is to perceive complex inner-city scenes, such as detecting and classifying traffic light signals, in order to support autonomous navigation.
