Giving the Gift of a Future Together

Christmas Fundraiser for the Germany Scholarship

Published

Support students with a donation and help shape the future together: Once again this year, Fachhochschule Dortmund invites its employees, alumni, and other supporters to participate in the Christmas fundraising campaign for the Germany Scholarship.

Under the motto “Simple effort, double impact,” the goal is to work together to fund a scholarship. What makes this special is that the federal government will match the private donations raised. This means that 1,800 euros in donations will become 3,600 euros—enough to fund a scholarship for one year.

The success of the previous fundraising campaign shows just how much collective commitment can achieve: Thanks to the efforts of many supporters, a jointly funded Deutschlandstipendium was already awarded to a student for the 2026–2027 academic year: Katharina Schulz is studying in the new “Theater and Digitality” study program at the Faculty of Design. For her, the Germany Scholarship represents both recognition and support: “The Germany Scholarship helps me balance my academic performance with the demands of my daily life. The financial funding makes it easier for me to participate in my studies and daily life, while the non-financial funding provides me with space for reflection and a network for my career.” As a funding partner, University Chancellor Svenja Stepper will support the scholarship recipient throughout the funding year.

Join us again this year and become part of our community of donors! Together, we can once again make a Germany Scholarship possible and support dedicated students on their educational journey.
