Street workers at Fachhochschule Dortmund collect donations

With winter approaching, the Streetwork project course at the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Nordstadtliga(Opens in a new tab)  are helping homeless people in Dortmund. In a joint campaign, donations in kind are collected for the cold season.

Emil-Figge-Straße 44 - Donations in kind can be handed in here.

In particular, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, sturdy shoes, winter jackets, jeans, hoodies and sweatshirt jackets as well as backpacks can be handed in on several dates to the students of the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at Campus Emil-Figge-Straße (EFS), Building 44, Room 337. They will be collected on:

  • Monday, October 30, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Monday, November 6, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (In the evening, donations can be handed in directly in the foyer of EFS 44)
  • Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Clothing and hygiene articles

In addition to men's clothing in good condition in particular, towels and toiletries are also needed. There is a particular need for hand cream, deodorant, shower shampoo and toothpaste (especially in small tubes) and nail clippers.

Homeless people are particularly dependent on help and support in winter. Every donation can make a decisive contribution. Anyone who would like to make donations in kind outside of the campaign dates can contact the Gasthaus at Rheinische Straße 22 and Bodo e.V. at Schwanenwall 36-38 in Dortmund at any time.
