Online Tutorial Scientific Work

Published

OTUWI is online

Students in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies now have another opportunity to deepen their knowledge of academic work outside the curriculum.

OTUWI stands for Online TUtorial WIscientificWork and is a learning format designed to help students learn some of the core skills of scientific work.

OTUWI consists of a total of five learning modules:
- Scientific basics
- Empirical basics
- Scientific quality assurance
- Dealing with scientific sources
- From the idea to the written term paper

OTUWI is a way for students to acquire this knowledge through self-study. In the course of their studies, students can repeatedly access the online tutorial to remind themselves of the content and methods taught whenever they need them.

Students at Fachhochschule Dortmund are thus given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of these fundamental topics independently, flexibly and digitally.
