Visit from India to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

A delegation from the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysore, India, has visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Fachhochschule Dortmund to expand existing cooperation and find topics for new partnerships in research and teaching. India is the most populous country in the world and an important partner for Fachhochschule Dortmund.

Prof. Dr. Vinod Rajamani, Vice Dean for Internationalization at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, highlighted the importance of the cooperation and emphasized: "Both India and Germany face similar challenges in terms of energy and the environment. By working together, innovative solutions can be developed that will advance both countries and can also be applied in other regions of the world.

The Vice Dean of the faculty gave Prof. Shamsundar Subbarao, Head of the Centre For Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technologies at the NIE, a tour of the faculty's laboratories on the Sonnenstrasse campus. The video documents the visit and provides insights into the cooperation between Fachhochschule Dortmund and the National Institute of Engineering. Among other things, Prof. Subbarao explained that sustainable energy, in particular clean fuels for mobility, will be an initial focus of the joint work.
