Sustainability report

Sustainability at Fachhochschule Dortmund

Fachhochschule Dortmund has set out to become a sustainable university.

In the face of advancing climate change, we need to take action. As a university, we act as a role model, assume social responsibility and actively shape the future.

In the University Development Plan 2020-2025, the topic of "social responsibility" was established as one of the four core topics for the future. In a process of cooperation within the "Social Responsibility" focus group, the university's activities and measures have been and continue to be identified and implemented on an ongoing basis.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Office (CSR Office for short), the sustainability office of Fachhochschule Dortmund, was founded in June 2021 to support the university on its sustainable path. It acts as a central link in the field of sustainability. It connects stakeholders from different areas of the university, bundles and coordinates all activities and thus creates synergies. It ensures a uniform and coordinated approach as well as internal and external communication.
