The loan periods are determined by the library management in accordance with § 9, paragraph 1 of the Library and User Regulations(Opens in a new tab) .

Special loan periods for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses
The loan periods for books and textbooks (LB) can be extended to 6 months (180 calendar days) for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses on request and, if necessary, against proof.
Return reminder
Please make sure you return borrowed media on time. Fees will be charged if you exceed the loan period. You can get an overview of your account(Opens in a new tab) , including all loan periods, online at any time. At the beginning of each month you will also receive an overview of your library account by email.
If the items you have borrowed are reserved by other users, you will receive an email notification about the final return deadline.
If items are not reserved, you will receive an email reminder 14 days before the end of the loan period.
