"We focus on students"

Fachhochschule Dortmund aims to provide young people with an academic education through the quality of its teaching, personal support and an open-minded approach, to help them develop their potential and to offer them attractive career paths.

With around 15,000 students, Fachhochschule Dortmund is one of the ten largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. The degree courses are geared towards providing an application-oriented education. Around 70 study programs offer Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Studies and Social Sciences as well as Architecture and Design.

Established international partnerships enable students to acquire global skills. Third-party funded research and numerous transfer projects create direct access to local companies. Fachhochschule Dortmund thus also provides sustainable impetus for the science location and the region.

Our manifesto

We need minds and hearts,
who want to move themselves and us.

For whom change is an opportunity.
Who want to learn together.

With curiosity, support
and independent action.

With trust and recognition,
with trial and error.

Flexibly and in dialog. With partners.
With fun. With enthusiasm.
With the knowledge of why we do what we do.

And then: Let's make them
ORANGE!
