Team hydrogen engine

The hydrogen engine team is working on converting the gasoline engine to a hydrogen combustion engine. The aim is to replace the engine's fuel with hydrogen. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Vinod Ramajani is the supervisor.

System sketch for the new overall system was drawn up, which will be used together with an interface overview for the development of a control unit. In addition, the required tank technology was determined and initial offers were obtained. With the help of specialist knowledge provided by research partners, an injector type was determined and procured. In order to create an injector map, an injection quantity indicator was developed and corresponding measurement series have been started. At the same time, team members are working on the selection and integration of further components required for combustion engine operation with hydrogen.
