Prof. Dr. Harnischmacher is the liaison lecturer to VDE Bezirksverein Rhein-Ruhr e.V..
Among other things, the VDE is committed to promoting young talent. VDE Rhein-Ruhr e.V. has endowed a prize for outstanding graduates specifically for students, which is advertised and awarded annually for all universities in the VDE Rhein-Ruhr area. Applications are submitted via the respective liaison lecturer at the university.

SAP® Certificate compact courses during the semester break
In cooperation with the University Alliances of SAP® AG, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering offers the original SAP® certificate course for all students who would like to acquire SAP® ERP knowledge in advance for their CV. The 2-week course is organized together with the Volkshochschule Dortmund.
This compact course covers the topic of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) during the lecture-free period after the first examination section, using the example of SAP® ERP, the world's leading standard software in this field. Enterprise Resource Planning is the standard software in almost all companies. ERP systems help to organize large amounts of data and plan company resources efficiently. The course on integrated business processes with SAP® ERP (TERP10 / TS410 S4/HANA) serves as an introduction to the SAP® world. Students with little prior knowledge of business administration will learn about the structure of the system and discover what it is capable of in this course.
The costs currently amount to approx. 300 € for a group size of approx. 20 students plus the currently valid examination costs of SAP AG for certification. For those students who do not wish to take the original certification, we offer an internal examination on Enterprise Resource Planning, which is included in the fees and can be used as a qualified certificate of participation from the provider.
