Profiles in the degree programs

TaSK - Theater as Social Art

Certified profile: Theater as a Social Art (TaSK)

Since the winter semester of 2004, students interested in the field of "Theater in Social Work" have been able to participate in a certified "Theater Pedagogy" profile course integrated into the Bachelor's degree in Social Work. In winter semester 2014, the profile course was relaunched under the title "Theater as Social Art - TaSK". At the end of their studies, students on the TaSK profile course receive an additional certificate as a "theater pedagogue (basic training according to BUT)". The designation "BUT" means that this training is recognized by a supra-regional professional association (Bundesvereinigung Theaterpädagogik). The basic training is registered with the employment offices (ZBF/Zentrale Vermittlung für Bühne, Film und Kulturelle Bildung) and can be cited as an additional professional qualification when applying for a job.

The basic training also serves as a recognizable module for the full training as a theater pedagogue, which can be completed at various institutions and universities of applied sciences. The full training course "Theater Educator/BUT" is comparable to the completion of a university degree. An overview of the profile course and how it fits into the Social Work degree course can be found below. For further information, please contact Prof. Dr. Norma Köhler or Prof. Dr. Christoph Lutz-Scheurle during office hours or by email.

B-profiles

A B profile line can be understood as a meaningful combination of courses over the entire course of study. The compilation is made individually by the students. Such a "series of courses" serves to specialize students in certain professional fields within social work.
You can find out which courses belong to a B profile in the annotated course catalog under "Special information" for the respective course. In contrast to the Z profile, no recognized certificates are acquired. There is no entitlement to special courses.
