City in transition: Debate space on sustainable Business Studies

Information

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m., the "City in Transition" series of events will feature a debate on the topic: "Dortmund, how sustainable is your economy?"

Business Studies are often criticized for not being sustainable. At the same time, Business Studies is the driving force behind prosperity in industrialized countries such as Germany. In crises, we often first discuss the consequences for Business Studies and only then the social consequences.

Dr. Friederike Habermann, economist and historian, will begin by giving a talk on alternative economic forms. She is part of the now-net network, which is committed to Business Studies that serve the good life of all. Her focus is on the commons approach and business studies free from the logic of exchange. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join in the discussion about what sustainable Business Studies can look like.

The event is organized by Sebastian Kreimer (CSR Office of Fachhochschule Dortmund) and Dr. Arne Elias (Dortmund Economic Development Agency).

Participation is free of charge and possible without registration.
