Afterwards, Dr. Kim Lauenroth from the Department of Computer Science willreport under the title"My smart home, my family and me".
Lauenroth: When you think of "smart homes", you inevitably think of glossy buildings that offer all kinds of amenities, automatically open the door, control the light and fill the room with the right music depending on the mood. I have been living in a "pretty" smart passive house for 17 years. In my talk, I would like to take you behind the scenes and tell you about my family's personal experiences with the good and bad sides of technology. We'll talk about heating control, waste garbage can reminders, roller blind control, the installation of weather stations and, of course, lighting control. For the sake of completeness, renewable energies and PV systems are of course also included. Finally, I take a look into the future, because after 17 years a major update is due and there are already a few ideas.
