Information
How does art become a medium for social participation? Are creative forms of action a better form of political protest? In short: Can art save the world?
An exciting guest lecture at the Faculty of Applied Social Studies(Opens in a new tab) will address these questions. Using the climate movement Extinction Rebellion as an example, the lecture will explore how artistic action can become a vehicle for social engagement—and thus a means of social transformation.
An exciting opportunity for anyone interested in art, activism, and social change.
The lecture is part of the seminar “Aesthetic Staging of Social Action – SDG 13” led by Prof. Dr. Laura Flöter-Fratesi(Opens in a new tab) in the Bachelor’s program in Social Work(Opens in a new tab) .
