Under the theme “Get #connected on Board – Science Meets Business,” research institutions from Dortmund and the surrounding area will engage in conversation with guests from the business community, professional networks, and the region aboard the Santa Monika.
Colleges, institutes, and other research organizations will showcase themselves at their own tables and provide insights into current topics related to digital transformation and artificial intelligence through short pitches. Representing the Fachhochschule Dortmund will be Sabine Sachweh, professor of applied software engineering and a member of the Faculty Council for the Faculty of Computer Science.
The focus is on personal interaction: Visitors are invited to discuss ideas with the “table captains” and discover new avenues for collaboration. The cruise through the Port of Dortmund provides a unique setting for regional networking, knowledge transfer, and forging new connections between research and practice. Sandwiches and cold drinks will also be served to create a welcoming atmosphere on board.
The event is part of Dortmund Digital Week (DiWoDo).
