Bachelor application

Fachhochschule Dortmund offers both open-admission and restricted-admission Bachelor's degree programs. Applications are made online. In principle, no documents need to be submitted.

Application for admission-free Bachelor's degree programs

In open-admission Bachelor's degree programs, there is no selection procedure based on the grade of the university entrance qualification or other criteria. You are therefore guaranteed admission if you apply in the correct form and on time.

However, you can only be enrolled if you meet the enrolment requirements of the respective study program (in particular university entrance qualification, internship if applicable, aptitude test, etc.).

Application for Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission

In Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission, a selection is made from all applications received in due form and time in accordance with the criteria of the NRW allocation regulations. The grade of the university entrance qualification, for example, plays a major role here.

Study places are allocated in cooperation with the Foundation for University Admissions(hochschulstart.de(Opens in a new tab) ). If you would like to apply for one of our Bachelor's degree programs with restricted admission, you must first register there.

Follow the link to the hochschulstart.de website and register. You will receive an applicant ID and an applicant BAN. You will need these to apply on the Fachhochschule Dortmund website. If you have already created an account on hochschulstart.de during a previous application, please have your existing BID and BAN ready.

Please note:
It is possible to upload application documents during the registration process at hochschulstart.de. Fachhochschule Dortmund will NOT access these documents and will not view, review or consider them for the application.
