On the basis of qualitative and quantitative surveys, the significance of the professional internship for the qualification and professional socialization of graduates from the faculties of social work at Fachhochschule Dortmund is investigated. Several variables, including economization, gender and conflicts between supervisor and trainee, are examined with regard to their significance for the success of the recognition year.
