Our understanding of Iranian society is heavily influenced by the media. The photographs by Samaneh Khosravi and Jörg Winde offer a direct glimpse into the lives of people in various settings—whether at work, during their free time, at celebrations, or on the street.
Samaneh Khosravi presented a series of images from her book *Banoo*, which explores the status of women in contemporary Iranian society.
Jörg Winde showed portraits from his project VALIASR of people who live and work on Tehran’s longest street, which stretches 19 km.
This event is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition “IN SPACES. Jörg Winde. Photographs 1984–2024.”
