Numerous practice-relevant decisions on EU antitrust law were issued in the reporting year. Following Horstkotte/Wingerter/Gerhold-Kempf, IWRZ 2025, 3 and IWRZ 2025, 73, this article examines selected decisions of the European Commission and judgments of the European Union Courts. In the area of the prohibition of cartels (Art. 101 TFEU), the first sanctioning of poaching or "no-poach" agreements (Delivery Hero/Glovo), the responsibility of associations (car batteries) and digital price monitoring in the luxury segment (luxury fashion) are of particular interest. The commitments in the Microsoft Teams and Corning cases and the ECJ's case law on the interoperability of digital platforms (Android Auto) were significant for the prohibition of abuse (Art. 102 TFEU). In the context of merger control, 2025 brought interesting developments with regard to the submission of false information in merger control proceedings (KKR/NetCo) and an alleged breach of the prohibition on enforcement (Vivendi/Lagardère). In the area of merger control, the European Court of First Instance was again particularly concerned with the interpretation of Art. 22 (1) Merger Regulation.
