    About the project

    Goals

The TeMA project (project to strengthen the participation of people on the autism spectrum through participatory service and quality development) aims to improve the participation of people on the autism spectrum. As far as possible, the entire spectrum should be taken into account, especially people with complex disabilities. In practice, this is often difficult, as the individual needs and expectations of different autistic people cannot always be comprehensively recorded as part of participation planning, and the service structure is often unable to meet these needs and expectations precisely.

The aim of the project is therefore to work together with people on the autism spectrum in a participatory approach to test and further develop supportive instruments for participation planning.

    Procedure

To this end, the current processes are first recorded, tools already developed to support participation planning are tested and possible reasons for discrepancies between the needs and expectations of people on the autism spectrum and the actual participation offers are identified. In the next step, strategies for the further development of participation planning will be developed, evaluated and launched based on the results.

The special feature and strength of this project lies on the one hand in the strong participatory approach, which also includes people with complex disabilities, and on the other hand the participatory structures established in the project are to be maintained after the end of the project so that people from the autism spectrum are also permanently involved in quality development.
