On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, Fachhochschule Dortmund welcomed around 25 computer science and mechanical engineering students from PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, to the Emil-Figge-Straße campus. The visit offered the students a firsthand look at studying at FH Dortmund and an opportunity to discover the Faculty of Computer Science.
Professors and staff introduced the faculty and its degree programmes before the visitors explored selected teaching spaces and laboratories. This gave the students an impression of the faculty’s practice-oriented approach to education and its learning environment. Colleagues from the International Office complemented these insights with a broader perspective on campus life and highlighted the guidance and support available to international students.
Accompanied by representatives of the Indo-German Center for Higher Education (IGCHE), the students also had plenty of opportunities for personal conversations with faculty members and staff. A joint lunch at KostBar rounded off the visit and created further space for intercultural exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
