On January 1, 2024, the Studierendenwerk will adjust the prices of numerous canteen meals at Fachhochschule Dortmund and other locations. However, students will still be able to enjoy a meal of the day for 1.90 euros.
The price adjustments are necessary due to increased food prices and a lack of state subsidies, the Studierendenwerk explained in a statement(Opens in a new tab) .
The price adjustments for students:
- the dish "Tagwerk" remains stable at 1.90 euros
- the "Stammwerk 1" meal increases from 2.30 euros to 2.80 euros
- the "Grünwerk" meal increases from 2.80 euros to 3.30 euros
- the "Stammwerk 2" dish increases from 3.00 euros to 3.80 euros
- the price for side dishes increases from 50 cents to 80 cents
Employees pay 2.10 euros more per dish than students (previously 2.00 euros morein a statement(Opens in a new tab) .

Employees pay 2.10 euros more per dish than students (previously 2.00 euros more), external guests now pay a surcharge of 3.20 euros (previously 3.00 euros). The prices for side dishes will also rise by 30 cents for employees and guests to 1 euro (employees) and 1.20 euros (guests).
