Delegation from Rostov-on-Don visits the Faculty of Applied Social Studies

As part of a reciprocal exchange of experts with the twin city of Rostov-on-Don, a visit to our faculty was also on the agenda.

The purpose of the return visit was to get to know each other's youth work structures in the field of extracurricular political education. The Respect Office of the Dortmund Youth Welfare Office offered the guests from Rostov a varied program to give the Russian experts an insight into the work of the child and youth development department.

Topics such as participation and involvement were of central importance and interest.

Issues relating to the training of young social workers were also on the agenda of the return visit. In this context, the Russian delegation of experts visited Fachhochschule Dortmund and met with great interest with the faculty's representative for international affairs, Prof. Dr. Michael Boecker. The discussion focused on topics such as similarities and differences in higher education, structures for student participation and opportunities for cooperation and exchange.
