Laboratory for the fundamentals of electrical engineering (GE)

Profile

Practical training is of great importance when studying electrical engineering and energy management. Right from the start of the course, metrological investigations accompany and deepen the course content.

Frequency-selective voltage divider: Switching with frequencies.

The Laboratory for Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering has a large number of modern, high-quality measuring devices and circuit elements. These include digital storage oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency analyzers and precision voltage and current meters. These are used in the early stages of the course to familiarize students with basic circuits and measurement methods.

Magnetic circuit & hysteresis loops

Modern calculation and simulation software is used in parallel. Computer workstations are available for this purpose, which also enable direct processing of the measured values. This gives our students the opportunity to compare simulations directly with measurements.

Display of resonance curves on the oscilloscope

This creates a close link to practice and deepens the understanding of the system behavior of electrical and electronic circuits. The correct use of measurement methods and measuring devices becomes an integral and important part of the training.
