Getting started with Camtasia: screen recording & video editing

Part 1: 9:00-11:00 am:

• Overview of the most important functions (Camtasia Recorder & Editor)
• Overview of the work steps up to the finished video (import, editing, export)
• Recording PowerPoint presentations
• Simple video editing
• Use of FH templates and initial animations/highlighting

Part 2: 11:00-13:00 (in-depth, optional)

In the optional second part of the introduction, what has been shown will be tested in practice under guidance using the test material provided.

For the Fachhochschule Dortmund:

This introductory workshop is primarily aimed at teaching staff and their colleagues, but is open to technical and administrative staff.

Note: Lecturers, lecturers, research assistants and employees from technology and administration are entitled to apply for a Camtasia license.

For the Technical University of Dortmund:

Persons working in teaching at TU Dortmund University are entitled to participate in the training. The prerequisite is that a Camtasia license issued by the TU is available.

For FH members:

Before participating, Camtasia must be installed together with the FH templates from the ILIAS course and a license must be applied for. Please do this at least 3 days in advance.

For TU members:

Please ensure in advance that you have installed Camtasia on your computer.
