Partner

Equal education and equal opportunities can only be achieved together with many other stakeholders. TalentScouting thrives on a strong network that is characterized by great mutual openness.

Important partners for TalentScouting are the schools with their study and careers coordinators and school social workers, but also the city's departments involved in school education (e.g. the Regional Education Office(Opens in a new tab) , as well as the careers advice service of the Federal Employment Agency(Opens in a new tab) , the Chamber of Industry and Commerce(Opens in a new tab)  and the Chamber of Crafts(Opens in a new tab)  as experts for vocational training. Finally, the city of Dortmund is a reference municipality for the state strategy "No graduation without a connection" (KAoA)(Opens in a new tab) .

The central point of contact for advice and training for all NRW TalentSocuts is the NRW Center for Talent Development(Opens in a new tab)  in Gelsenkirchen. This is also where further and advanced training for teachers, school social advisors, careers advisors and student teachers takes place.

The following schools in Dortmund and the surrounding area are cooperation schools of TalentSocuting at Fachhochschule Dortmund:

Testimonials

When I think of talents from my school, the first thing I think of is gratitude: students who were mentored a long time ago still get in touch today to say that they felt deeply appreciated for the first time during TalentScouting - even if it didn't work out with a scholarship, for example.

Markus Engelhaupt, study and careers coordinator at the Werner-von-Siemens comprehensive school in Königsborn

TalentScouting helps us to implement equal opportunities and educational equality. In Germany, it is unfortunately still too often the case that it is not a person's own talents that are decisive for their educational path, but their background and family or economic situation. The many positive approaches that have developed in Dortmund in the past, including TalentScouting, should be systematically and continuously expanded and consolidated in order to provide all pupils in Dortmund with good, interlinked career guidance services.

Andrea Schendekehl, Headmistress at Konrad-Klepping-Berufskolleg
