Who are the StudyScouts?
The StudyScouts are themselves students from various faculties at Fachhochschule Dortmund. Through their presence in the district in the office on Bornstraße and the offers for prospective students and parents, they want to involve the people of Nordstadt more closely in the educational opportunities offered by the university and help shape the city of Dortmund as social actors.
Why do StudyScouts exist?
Dortmund's Nordstadt district is considered the center of the city's cultural diversity! More than 71% of the inhabitants have a so-called migration background. This cultural diversity has not yet been reflected in Dortmund's higher education landscape - the Fachhochschule Dortmund wants to change this and bring the untapped potential of young talent into the universities.
The StudyScouts are role models for the Fachhochschule Dortmund's talent development target group. They represent a low-threshold point of contact and can report on their own experiences of studying and provide initial information on the subject of studying at eye level.

The special thing is that the scouts can inform and support you not only in German but also in various languages, such as English, Turkish and Russian.
